Zoomcast
Record first, decide later.
A macOS screen recorder that captures a clean take first and adds the polish afterwards. Background, custom cursor, click ripples and auto zoom are rendered from a recorded timeline, so every effect stays editable until you export.
The problem
Screen recorders bake the cursor, the zoom and the background into the pixels while you record. One wrong zoom and the take is a retake.
The solution
The capture stays raw. Cursor positions, clicks and window frames go to a separate timeline, and the editor renders every effect from it, so you can change your mind, not your recording.
Architecture
Features
- One shortcut to record a display, a window or an area
- Auto zoom that follows your clicks, with segments you can drag and retime
- Background, frame, cursor and ripples applied on top, never baked into the pixels
- System audio and mic recorded as separate tracks
- Export MP4 (HEVC or H.264, up to 2160p) or an animated GIF
